In and around Bad Aibling - tips from us
In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, numerous cycle paths of varying degrees of difficulty lead to the most attractive destinations in the Alps. We introduce you to our favorites:
The most popular route
Start directly at the hotel, down Ghersburgstraße. Right at the foot of the mountain, turn left under the railroad tracks and keep right until you reach the road (Rosenheimer Str.). Turn left over the bridge. Immediately afterwards, a path goes down to the left. When you reach the Mangfall, turn right and follow the Mangfall cycle/hiking trail. This leads along paths close to the river on a flat stretch via Kolbermoor to Rosenheim.
The highlight of your cycle tour
In recent years, the river area has been beautifully renaturalized and invites you to swim, picnic and relax.
Highlight Tours
THE MANGFALL CYCLE PATH — 63,6 km
The Mangfall cycle path leads north to Munich and offers numerous beautiful stops to rest and enjoy the view. The largely flat route ensures that leisure cyclists and children also enjoy cycling here.
The highlight of your cycle tour
Do your children like making animal friends? Perfect, because on your cycle tour you will not only pass the Animal and Natural History Museum, but also the Blindham Mountain Animal Park.
"AROUND ROSENHEIM" CYCLE PATH — 83,4 km
You should plan a whole day for the entire tour, as you want to enjoy the many beautiful points along the route to the full. Cyclists in particular love this tour, as it offers wonderful views of the mountains and the natural surroundings of the Chiemsee-Alpenland region. You pass the Simssee and Hochstrasser See lakes and can take a break at the moorland station, which is well worth seeing. Towards the end of the tour, you will also pass one of the oldest churches in Upper Bavaria. The last section of the route takes you along the Inn back to Rosenheim.
Highlights of the tour
You will pass several historic churches on this Chiemgau cycle tour - including the rare onion dome of St. Johann Baptist Heilig Kreuz am Wasen or Upper Bavaria's oldest Protestant church.
